The Assam Public Service Commission in short APSC Assam has released notification for the examination dates. The APSC CCE prelims 2018 will be held on 24 November 2018.
So, The candidates who have filled the Assam PSC Prelims form will able to download the prelims admit card from 12 to 24 November 2018.
APSC EXAM DATES
The Assam Public Service Commission will hold the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination on 24 November 2018 for screening candidates for the Main Examination.
The form fill up process for APSC Assam prelims started in 18 may 2018.

APSC Exam Eligibility
The Assam Public Service Commission’s Examination eligibility details are given below
Educational Qualification of the candidate:
- The aspirant must hold a Degree from any of the Universities established and incorporated by a Central Act or State Act in India
- or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Govt.
- Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination on the closing date of submission of the application need not apply.
- The Candidate must be an Indian citizen
Age Limit of candidate:
- The age of the general categories Candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years
- The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council.
- No other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.
The age limit is relaxable for the reserved castes in the APSC Exam
- The ST/SC caste candidates age limit is relaxed by 5 years i.e the ST/SC candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 43 years of age
- Similarly, The OBC/MOBC caste candidates age limit is relaxed by 3 years i.e OBC/MOBC should not be less than 21 years and more than 41 years of age as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- Furthermore, For the Persons with Disabilities(PWD), the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC/General Category as per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October 2015
- For Ex-servicemen by 2 years i.e. up to 40 years as per Govt. Notification No.AAP.115/72/Pt.I/194 dated 10th March 2008.
APSC Exam Details
The government of Assam conducts the Assam public service commission exams.
So there are Two types of examinations Combined competitive exam (CCE) in every year and departmental exam in every six months is carried out by Assam Public Service Commission.

Combined competitive exam
As per requisition of the Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services the Assam Public Service Commission conduct The combined competitive exam in every year.
Furthermore, the Assam public service commission combined competitive exam or APSC Combined Competitive Exam is consist of two stages
- The preliminary Exam
- The main examination (written test and interview)
The APSC preliminary exam consists of two papers and for each question paper 2 hours is allocated
This exam conducted as a screening test only. Candidates must pass this examination to appear in the main examination. The questions pattern for the exam are of multiple choice objective types and each paper carries 200 marks in the preliminary examination

General studies are compulsory for all the aspirants and for the optional subject the aspirants can choose any one subject from the below-given list for the optional paper form the optional subjects.

Main and Personality Test(Interview)
The APSC main examination includes a written examination and a personality test.
All The examinees who are declared qualified in the APSC Main Examination will allow for a personality test which carries 200 marks.
The written examination includes 4 paper each of 3-hour duration.
The Assam PSC Main written exam optional subjects paper carry 200 marks each and the pattern of the questions are essay type and the Main written examination contains a total of 1400 marks.

In this Assam PSC interview, the capabilities of the aspirants are examined. How they can represent or how they react to any kind of situation all the things are examined in this interview test. The interview test consists of 200 marks.
The interview is taken by an APSC board and they take an account on the academic carrier of the aspirant
The marks obtained in the interview test is added with the marks scored in the written examination of the main examination and the ranking of the aspirant in the APSC result is determined by the total mark of the candidate.
Besides the combined competitive exam The Assam public service commision in short APSC also carry out Departmental Examinations in every six months for different categories of Government officers.

APSC CCE Prelims And Main Centres
The Combined Competitive (Prelim.) Exam, 2018 will be conducted in the centres of the following districts of Assam which are given below.

The main exam will be held only in Guwahati
The centers for holding the Preliminary examination may, however, be changed by the Commission at its discretion owing to unforeseen exigencies. The candidates should note that no request for change of center will be granted.
APSC Admit Card
Admit cards or hall tickets indicating the eligible aspirants roll no exam center exam venue and programme of the exam will be uploaded in the Assam psc official website, for appearing in the Preliminary/Main examination
Candidates can download the admit card for the prelims exam after conducting the application procedure successfully.
The APSC syllabus is different for the combined competitive examination and departmental examinations
Syllabus for Assam PSC (CCE) Combined Competitive Examinations (both for Prel. & Main), is issued by the Assam Public Service Commission.

The result of the Assam PSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelim Examination is released after the successful completion of the exam.
The candidates who pass the prelim exam will be selected for the main examination and they have to appear in the examination
Selected candidates will be called for the interview or viva voce test
Finally, based on the scores obtained in all the three exam viz prelims main and interview the result of the candidates will be declared
